I enjoy modern-day text-based communication. E-mails, texts, instant messages and social media are all platforms that give us time to think about what we want to say, allowing us to craft our thoughts and opinions before sending them out into the ether. As a writer, I appreciate being able to go over and edit my words to ensure they are clear and concise before anyone else sees them.

I earned my driver's licence as a teenager after much studying and practice, and have been driving ever since. In the intervening years, I have had the opportunity to drive a few different car models, but it was only this weekend, 10 years later, that I had my first experience driving a truck.

I have never been a fan of needles. I understand that they are generally useful in medical and dental work, and while I’m not a very squeamish person, I prefer to avoid them when possible. There is currently only one situation where I will willingly subject myself to needles, and that is when donating blood.

I have recently become involved in an online grassroots network dedicated to Pokémon Go, an exciting new augmented reality mobile game which will be released sometime this year. News and updates on the game and its mechanics have been slow-coming until recently, which had made many hesitant about its viability. However, the community, called the Silph Road, has remained positive through it all, and has focused on growing and creating roots around the world to create a more global experience for when the game does launch.

I don't quite remember when I first became aware of Blue Metropolis. I only recall seeing a very high ticket price some years ago for the Montreal festival and knowing that I as a poor English Lit student could not afford it.

t took some fiddling around and help from a willing partner, but my new website is finally ready to see the light of day! This is currently the third iteration of my portfolio website, and it has come quite the long way.
